Across the miles
you've brought me smiles
you've wiped my tears
by lending an ear,
although my voice you have not heard
you've listened carefully to my thoughts,
my feelings, my words.
And I want you to know,
I'm glad we met
over the net,
'cause my heart is happy
deep down inside
and you're a treasure,
my friend
and that's no lie!

A Friend

A friend is someone we turn to,
When our spirits need a lift,
A friend is someone we treasure,
For true friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone we laugh with,
Over little personal things,
A friend is someone we're serious with,
In facing whatever life brings.
A friend is someone who fills our lives,
With beauty and joy and grace.
And makes the world that we live in,
A better and happier place

Dreams

Don't ever stop dreaming your dreams
They're a very essential part of you.
Do whatever you can to make them a reality.
By the course you take,
the plans you make...
and all the things you do.

Don't dwell on past mistakes...
leave yesterday behind you.
Along with all of its problems,
worries and doubts.

Do realize that you can't change the past,
but just ahead is the future...
And you Can do something about that!
Don't try to accomplish everything at once,
life can be difficult enough...

Without adding frustration to the list.
Do travel one step at a time
and reach for one goal at a time.
That's the way to find out what real
accomplishment is.

Don't be afraid to try the impossible...
even if others don't think you'll succeed.
Do remember that history is filled
with incredible accomplishments...

Of those that others thought were
foolish enough to Believe.
And yet they did!
Don't forget that there are many things
that are Wonderful, Rare and Unique about You!

Friends

Although we have never met,
you have touched the very heart of my soul.
Your patience, love, and understanding have
carried me through some hard times.
Although you are a world away, somehow we
know each other in a way that really matters.
We are closer than most people who have met,
because we have taken the time to reach deep
within ourselves to know the person beyond the face.
It is truly what is on the "inside" that counts.
You are more than words on a screen.
You are an inspiration in times of need...
You give me hope when things seem lost...
You make me laugh, cry, listen and talk...
You make me think without saying a word.
In this vast world of silent talk, although we have
never met, I have found a true "friend."
